Michele is the founder of Creative Power UK and recently got involved in a local art trail that exhibited some of her work. A small number of her sculptures are available to purchase but first here are some interesting facts about the pieces.

Michele teaches creative workshops so each sculpture is priced to sell at what a class would cost (per person) to make that item (unless they’re a one-off or very large, original piece). So the highland bull for example is £90 to buy or £90 to attend a class to make your own.

 

They’re all unique (though they are not all original designs and some of them are repeat designs used for classes or workshops), it is almost impossible to make two sculptures exactly the same using these techniques so there aren't any identical pairs!

The pieces are made using Powertex fabric hardener and stone-art. Powertex is a water-based, non-toxic and environmentally friendly mixed medium. The stone art clay is made up by Michele, by hand, individually for each item and the colours are uniquely chosen for each piece using natural walnut inks and pigments to achieve the desired effect.

Wherever possible, the sculptures are made using recycled items.

Everything is weatherproof! The sculptures make ideal outdoor art.

 

Commissions are welcome. It is easy to personalise your art too; your own design or idea can incorporate any fabric or clothing (or possibly other items) you choose, if there’s something of significant or sentimental value, Michele will include it for you.
