The Sunday Studio class is taught by Michele and is specifically for children from year 1 (age 6) and upwards. If your child is younger than this but you feel they will still enjoy the class, please call Michele on 07958 429 860 to enquire.
The class cost £15 per child.
Michele is a qualified saddler and Certified Powertex tutor with over twenty years experience of working with children. For many years Michele worked with children overseas in ski and holiday resorts, setting up kids clubs and recruiting British qualified nannies to undertake private-nannying jobs in interesting settings with a number of famous A-list celebrity clients! She currently runs workshops in schools and holiday clubs around the UK and is passionate about showing Powertex to students in colleges and universities as an innovative new art medium.
The Children's Sunday Studio is run on the first and middle Sunday of every month (with occasional exceptions) from 10am- 12noon. The class sizes are small to allow for plenty of direct guidance and tuition. Each class will be tailored to suit the needs of every individual attendee, they are in no-way 'dumbed-down' for the young students but extra time is given to allow for a range of ages and experience levels to take part. Every month will be a different project and a piece of work to be proud of will be produced in every class.
Children may be left or accompanied by an adult during the class but please note, the studio does not have enough space for an audience. We are in a rural location and there is not much entertainment outside of the classroom so bring a book if you plan to sit in your car! Adults who wish to participate with their child will be required to pay the £15 class fee and this is subject to space, priority is always given to the children.
Michele is a mother to two little boys who both regularly enjoy using Powertex. She has an enhanced DBS certificate, a level 3 certificate in child protection and working with vulnerable adults and up to date public liability insurance. References are also available upon request.
